Okay, the big important meeting was about who's going to replace Dr. Sheidley as the head of the English department. And the winner is (drumroll)... Katherine. I had a hunch she'd get it, and there you have it. I'm excited on her behalf. If anyone should be running the department, it's her.

It's funny, that's exactly what Shane asked.
Technically, no. I'm the SCWP assistant rather than Katherine's personal assistant, so for my job nothing's changed. Although, she may do more delegating for SCWP stuff since she'll have the proverbial bigger fish to fry. We'll see how it goes.
So, is everything going PBL now?
She'll do great. Just tell her to take a deep breath every now and then...=)
Yes, we're now going to have Problem-based everything! Problem-based foreign language classes, even, where there's no professor at all, only a native speaker of French/Spanish/etc. and the class has to figure out how to talk to them. It'll be great.
As far as telling her to breathe, well, that's always been part of my job description :)
