My brother had a drink at the bar for the first time this weekend.
Me: Hey look, it's my brother.
K.C.: Is he old enough?
Me: Yup, as of Monday.
Casey came in with two buddies from the academy. Their main purpose was to fill my sibling with alcohol and then get him home. You know, that whole rite of passage thing. My purpose was to make sure that colorful girly drinks were included in the adventure. I got two in and loaded up his cocktails with cherries - much to the amusement of his pals.
Me: Okay guys, you see that guy in the red sweatshirt with the curly hair? That's Alex. When he walks by, I want you to throw popcorn at him.
Guys: I think we'll pass. He could beat us up.
Me: But there are three of you.
Guys: Exactly.
Overall, the night was pretty uneventful. It was slow and I chucked a lot of tables Laura's way so I could hang out with my brother. I made him drink a lot of water along with the beer and cocktails, and I kept them well-stocked with popcorn. It was fun. Unfortunately, much to our collective dismay, the following morning he suffered no ill effects at all. Mom was very disappointed.
This is a collaborative blog. Well, let's face it, they all are. But, specifically, this one's a collaboration between me, my friend Camii, and sometimes my brother. Here you'll find waitressing stories, bar quotes, movie reviews, and the occasional cake.

How disappointing for his friends. No hand in the warm water trick. No handful of shaving cream and then tickling his nose. No magic marker mustache. How boring! You must be proud :)
Lol. Yes, oh so very.
