I have way too many necklaces at home because I like to make them but there are only so many a person needs, yet I still like the zen of making them. Thus, I have a plan to sell some of them on a site, etsy.com, so I can make room for more. The problem, is that in order to sell them, I need to be able to produce good quality images of them.
First, I tried my scanner. While it's good for flat pictures, it sucks at anything vaguely 3-D. Then my guy lent me his digital camera. No dice on that one either because it's designed for general picture taking, not close ups. Then I looked at some jewelry images I made while I still lived with mom and dad, and their scanner works beautifully for necklaces. Thus, today while I renewed my FAFSA, I also scanned a few necklaces. I feel like I've been very productive.

Movie Review: Cool World. Talk about a weird flick. Think Who Framed Roger Rabbit, except it's all about sex. Brad Pitt plays the tough cop, Kim Basinger is the "doodle" broad making trouble, and Gabriel Byrne is the cartoonist she plans to seduce. The only problem is that once a doodle and a "noid" have sex, things start to go wonky. It goes from comical to cheesy and back again. Though I give the movie big points for the funky cardboard cut-out "scenery" which is featured when a noid is in Cool World.
