This is a collaborative blog. Well, let's face it, they all are. But, specifically, this one's a collaboration between me, my friend Camii, and sometimes my brother. Here you'll find waitressing stories, bar quotes, movie reviews, and the occasional cake.

Bead Nirvana

"When I got the big box full of beautiful beads, it was just like Christmas."
-Rebecca

Yesterday in the early afternoon, Rebecca called to say she'd received and sorted the beads from the big order, and she was on my side of town and how about she bring them by? I promptly told her my address then tried to force myself not to sit by the front window - I was partly successful with that one.

She finally pulled in and handed me a big plastic bag full of littler plastic bags holding strings of wonderful beads. I'm still marveling over the faceted flourite beads, which are HUGE. As much as I love the discounts of online shopping, there are advantages of a bead shop where you can see things in the flesh. Ah well, a few things aren't quite what I envisioned, but nothing was a disappointment.

I got down to business right away and whipped out two necklaces before going to work at five: one with the labradorite Buddha and one with faceted kyanite. There's a mess on my desk from the pile of new goodies, but it's a beautiful mess. Pictures soon, I promise.
